Do MSTP programs general have multiple reviews per applicant?

Just wondering if that may be the case. Does anyone have any insight into the process? It seems that some people who have submitted their application after me have already gotten interviews at some places. I feel a little worried.

i think that you are most likely on pre-interview hold meaning that they think you are competitive but are seeing more competitive applicants come through and they want to interview them first. most likely you will be reviewed later again. im on hold at few places.. which sucks... but hey! its better than a rejection!

In our program, applications are divided up between several file reviewers (students). They then classify each application with a 1-5 scale. We will then schedule interviews for those with 3 or better (I think). When you get invited for an interview is both a function of your competitiveness as well as when you appplied and when the file reviewer is finished classifying you. We also send out rejections to those who have the worst scores, so I agree, don't worry just yet!

me too! just remember, we just need an interview + acceptance, it doesn't matter if it's first round or last round.
