Warning to all.. if you're using your hotmail account for your AMCAS application.. ALWAYS CHECK YOUR JUNK MAIL REGULARLY!! Any bulk email (or what hotmail thinks is spam) is immediately put into junk. So that means a lot of your secondaries and notifications are going to end up there.

This sometimes happens to yahoo. It sent my UIC secondary request to bulk. I almost deleted it without knowing what it was.

Word of advice check mail frequently to make sure your email server is not deleting important things from schools.

TTSD:
Does this happen even if your hotmail filter is set to "default"?

If you do have something in your "junk" folder, doesn't it tell you that you have X amount of messeges in that folder and all you have to do is to check that folder?

This should not come as a surprise although to some folks it did. I remember reading about this on the AMCAS application regarding this issue with e-mail from Yahoo/Hotmail type accounts and to be aware.

I had some problems with Comcast's webmail service over the summer. I went on vacation for a couple of weeks in mid August. I checked my email everyday with the webmail but it kept saying "0 messages" all of the time. When I came back home, I found 2 unread interview invitations sitting in my inbox. Fortunately, I was able to schedule my interviews quickly but if I go on vacation again, I will probably have all of my comcast emails forwarded to my university account.

Um you people know that you can just turn off the junk mail filter right?

I don't mean to sound really stupid but how do you completely turn off your junk filter? When I go to the options all they have for me is to choose from Exclusive, Enhanced and Default filters.

thanks.
