Please use search next time. DO 100% of the time, and this thread can be closed.

I'm just a lowly premed like you, but I imagine this is how most of our lovely adcomm advisors would react to yet another Caribbean hopeful.

Please see caribbean + genius =? thread for a more articulate answer to your question.

Really? :beat:
If you want to be a US practicing physician DO.
And may I recommend doing a search next time?

Despite this being posted in the forum rules this is easily the most oft overlooked course of action for people's questions.

Caribbean ofc.

Can scuba-dive and/or go sailing in crystal clear waters 7 days of the week because money obviously isn't something you're concerned about. Also, living the island life is AWESOME. You'll never run out of meeting new people or finding new places to go eat - there are tons of "touristy" things to do around the island. Another big plus is the dress code - you won't ever have to deal with wearing and buying scrubs because there aren't any patients (I hear the anatomy lab cadavers are 100% acquired from the previous year's class), so that means you can dress like a frat daddy 24/7/365. "No shoes, not shirt, no grades, no problem" is the official motto for St. George's IIRC. Anyone with any common sense would obviously choose a Caribbean school over any American school (well except for maybe Hawaii). Can't believe this was even a question.

To quote Aziz Ansari, Caribbean schools aren't really my cup of tea. Mainly because I don't like huge pieces of **** in my tea.

I apologize for posting this question. The second after I sent it I realized that several people have asked this question before haha

You have 288 posts. I'm sure you saw this posted many times before. Troll gonna troll.

I spent a couple minutes and amused myself by looking at his posting history, he once asked if it was impressive that he got a 13 PS on the MCAT (38 overall) without taking physics, then months later asked if it was okay to not do any ECs his freshman year. Trolls gonna troll.

You called him out on it so he limited who can view his profile. You took away my fun!

Its 2015 and these threads are still being created..........

To be frank, I wouldn't underestimate Caribbean medical schools. Nor would I underestimate the caliber of students that attend these offshore schools. You'll be surprised when these foreign medical students know more than their US counterparts.

Yes, their propensity to obfuscate and mislead the vulnerable and ill-informed is legend.
