Hi guys,

I've interviewed at a few DO EM programs and already some program directors I've talked to have offered me spots at their programs. Some say, "you're top 3 and if you rank us number 1 you'll have a spot." Others say, "you're number one, give us a verbal commitment soon." (If not now.) In general, everyone wants me to rank them number one, but I have only one to give.

I find this process confusing, but at the same time, a welcome relief. I never knew this process would be so confusing. It has literally blind sided me. There are a number of progam directors waiting for call backs right this very moment. Yet, I still find my self unsure. I'm not done interviewing, and yet, I guess I could be if I could just commit. 😕

Have any of you had this experience? What have you done? In general, do program directors lie? or are their words solid???

From what i've heard, no, their word is definitely not reliable. Take it with a big grain of salt.
