Hi. So basically in the summer of '17, between my first and second years, I worked at a tutoring center, a place I had worked for a while during 2016 as well.
I had told them my desired end-date early on, and they kept me on the schedule past it. Basically, I couldn't come in during those "extra" dates that I wasn't supposed to be scheduled for (I really sorta could, but lied and said I had already left for med school again as I was busy as hell studying for some exams I had on the first day of class). Regardless, I left at a very inconvenient time for them, and there was a bit of a misunderstanding because I thought I was supposed to be done and yet I was still scheduled. They "understood" that I needed to go, but I can't help but feel that they had a little resentment towards me because of that. I DOUBT with all of my heart that they would say something positive about me to a residency program if they called. Honestly, I probably could just reminded them about when my last day was supposed to be, but forgot to.
Do residency programs call your previous employers?
Thanks.
