Do schools look at LoR before granting interviews?

Specifically, Downstate, Wake Forest, RWJMS and NEOUCOM, although I'm interested in others.

Well, you need to have all of the required LORs before you can be granted an interview. I would imagine that all schools give them at least a cursory glance before granting an interview, as schools won't invite someone who has a crappy LOR.
