Hi everyone,
Is there a list of best DO schools ranked out there? With average GPA and MCAT by any chance?
Thanks!

Nope. They aren't ranked. Just pick one based off of location, if you like the school, and price. The rest is in your hands.

There should be a redirect link written into the SDN website code that sends people asking this question to an online MBA (no GMAT required) program.

Lol. I compiled a list in 2010 but the numbers have likely changed and a bunch of new programs aren't even on there:

The only value to a list like this is if you have an unbalanced app (e.g. high MCAT low GPA) and want to target certain schools. This "ranking" says nothing about the quality of these programs, their students' success on the boards or in the match.

GPA and MCAT scores may indicate your competitiveness for a program, but they often poorly reflect the quality of school overall. Touro-NY, for instance, has MCAT and GPA scores that are amongst the highest of any DO school, but this is more a factor of location than program quality. Clinical affiliations, associated residency/fellowship programs, and overall curriculum quality are far more important than GPA and MCAT scores in the DO world. MSU-COM, CCOM, PCOM, NYIT, and Rowan SOM have some of the best osteopathic residency affiliations. Whether this makes them better schools is in the eye of the beholder. Do your research, and find a school that has a teaching style and opportunities that fit your overall goals as a future osteopathic medical student.

Also, learn to use the search function. Upper right. Kind of like Google, almost magical in its effectiveness.

the search function on SDN sucks on this new platform. I remember it being much better before they upgrade the forum.
The best way to search SDN is to just go to Google and do a search with site:studentdoctor.net pasted onto the end. Infinitely better than SDN's integrated search functionality.
