So I'm getting ready to study for DATs once this semester is over. I didn't come to the realization that Dentistry is IT for me until last summer. I've passed Gen. Chem's with C+s and O-Chem 1 also with a C, and I'm taking O-Chem 2 now. If I beast those two sections of my DATs and make it in the 80th or 85th percentile or above, do you think that will help in making up for my horrendous Chem scores? I'm doing great in Bio classes BTW, all As and B+s.

Please let me know what you think! Much appreciated!

Getting a 20 isn't quite beasting it, you will need more like 24 and up to overcome C's. They really don't look at individual classes as much as your overall science GPA so if you get A's in the rest of your bio classes you should be fine. I don't think they compare your DAT sections to your class grades, so study equally for each section.

You don't necessarily have to "beast" the Orgo and GenChem section to be competitive. Moreover, doing well in those sections is more important in that it will get you a higher TS score, not necessarily to "make up" for your Cs, although it will show that you know the material now.

As Hawkteeth mentioned, I think what is more important now is just to take higher level science courses to boost your oGPA and sGPA. If you get this to a 3.5+, the Cs won't even be any real red flag.
