Do schools see entire FAFSA or just EFC?

I'm wondering - after you fill out your FAFSA and submit it to the various schools, do they see the entire FAFSA? Or just your EFC?

I know that most aid decisions are based upon your EFC, but I am wondering if schools are able to look beyond your EFC to inspect the combination of income/savings/investments which was supplied to derive that EFC number.

Anyone know? I could call the Financial Aid office at school, but I thought someone might know here.
