Never cut vertically. Always chop it sideways, so the milk runs to the bottom and you cut above it so it ends up on the bottom hemisphere.
And I use a knife and hammer. 🙂

I agree, but idk, i like them both lol. im a coconut addict lol. ever tried coconut rice? my boyfriend took me to this Asian restaurant here in NYC...the best coconut rice i've ever experienced...it was almost like a pudding/dessert

Drool. I went to an indian buffet after the gym yesterday. I'm not a "juice" guy (ew apple juice, grape juice, juicy juice. UGH even the word "juice" kills me. Worst word ever), but the mango juice they had there was like crack. Soooo good.

Indian mango juice (also "mango rus", which is thicker) is really good... especially when super cold.
If you go to an indian store, try a chiku shake. My mom's obsessed with them.
Mango juice is the best. I was fortunate enough to have a great dining facility staff while deployed as a contract Medic that made absolutely delicious mango juice (only thing that I would drink for juice, LOL). I absolutely love coconuts and mangoes both! My wife makes some absolutely delicious sticky rice, coconut dishes, and other dishes with her talented Filipino cooking skills 😀 I must admit that the mangoes that we usually enjoy the Phils is way better than those that I have enjoyed here, probably due to the climate, etc.
I took a holiday in Costa Rica for two weeks. I'm pretty sure they picked the fruit straight off the trees and served it up for breakfast. Fresh fruit + cafe con leche = great morning.

I absolutely agree that one way for a perfect morning is a fresh fruit breakfast, coffee and diving 🙂. I have tried durian fruit and it was pretty interesting to eat and a unique taste (not sour or anything just different) after you got through the skin. The hotel that I stayed with in Bali served Durian fruit all the time so my wife and I enjoyed it quite often.
If it comes straight from the coconut it's coconut water, if you shred the coconut and boil it then you make coconut milk.
Semantics gotta love 'em. 😀
