Vanderbilt, for example, had 25 people come off the WL last year, and nobody posted on SDN. People also don't post much about post-II rejection from what I have seen.

I get that in general it's not representative of the whole applicant pool. I'm saying its even less representative of WL movement, and of post-II rejection. I believe many are predicting WL movement of various schools in the future based on past WL movement seen on SDN.

Some schools give no WL numbers. Some schools give WL numbers that aren't really representative of most year's WL movement. It is a highly uncertain process so ofc people look to SDN as a way to predict and ofc it is not that accurate. All you can do is wait
I've always speculated that one of the reasons WL acceptances aren't posted often at all is that they trickle at most schools and you'd out yourself by being the last person to join the FB class page lol
