The article is interesting and I am a strong proponent of providing ethically sound health care but.......good oral hygiene + aesthetics lead to good mental health. Discounting the cosmetic side of dentistry is a bit harsh.

From a public health standpoint it is a very interesting article. From a real world standpoint, it is like telling the plastic surgeons to only do reconstructions of malformations. The public is interested in cosmetic dentistry, and we provide it. That is part of what we do.

Seems like cosmetic dentistry is the way to go if your in it for the big bucks!
