Do you say "Dee ay tee" or "dat"?

I say "dat." Most people seem to spell out the letters though.

I say "Dental Admission Test, it's like taking the MCAT but for dentists" because usually the people who I talk to about it have no idea it exists haha. But to dental people, I say D-A-T but dat does take less time to say....

Dat if I'm talking to someone that knows anything about the Dat, DAT if I need to explain what the Dat is.
