Thank God for Google.com
you can practically find anything online these days.
I love net. I admit it. Google rocks! 👍 👍 👍
Anyway, seriously, I found myself more interested in topic (and remember more) if I look for it on the internet rather than just reading the textbook. Internet is more interactive and I guess I consider it a game or something. 👍

I definitely rely on the net for extra info - google, department pages and dictionary.com.
But this makes me wonder, how did people ever get thru med school before the net? Obviously with books only, of course. But that blows. How boring!

I remember it more too if I look it up, especially on the internet. If you want to quickly see the random images people think are important about a disease, type the disease into images.google.com !!
omg, there's an AWESOME site (Loyola's LUMEN) that has images of cross sections, mri's, histology slides + explanations + quizzes........i love it 😍 it's great for anatomy and histo first year 👍
Also, for those of you dictionary.com users, you should try the site www.onelook.com. It does a word search simulatenously in several different dictionaries, and it separates the medically related dictionary definitions from the non medical ones. I use it all the time when I don't know a word during PBL.

I rely on online textbooks for clarification on things. For each class, I have a pretty comprehensive syllabus/lecture notes that are generally good. Some sections, though, are terrible in content and organization. Then, its the good ole' NIH Bookshelf for some free online text.
