Honestly, I think it's someone else trolling pretending to be the OP on a new account...it just seems way to obvious, and like 'Asian Persuasion' is trying to get called out as the OP. Mods should do an IP check (just for the lulz of course)

i don't really think he cares. think about it....he made a thread trying to be a girl and got busted. he doesn't seem like a particularly bright individual anyways. i still think its shinee. too many "coincidences".

BUT, if there really is someone trolling to be the OP, then they really need to get a life.
 
you need thick skin to be in medicine and thicker skin to be in surgical specialties. If you can't take a little inappropriate joke now and then I don't want to work with you. You're a bore and would be a terrible colleague.

If a gay male doctor (I'm assuming you're male) made sexual jokes about you and him every now and then or jokes about your cute little ass, would that bother you ?
 
Absolutely do not shadow this physician. You could end up in a seriously bad siutation. Would you feel comfortable with this person in a room at 2am?

Different.

If the same sex does it - biologically speaking from an evolutionary standpoint, it naturally repels the person due to the obvious conflict/s with the said organism's most primal concern in life: passing on one's genes to offspring. [Of course, there are outliers and perhaps such a sequence of homosexual events may turn some people on. However, that is neither here nor there.]

The reason why someone is offended [from the opposite sex] -- is, well, dependent on whatever the hell is going on in their head. My guess is that they feel "belittled".

The guy getting hit on my the gay doc wouldn't likely feel this same feeling of belittlement.

Personally, I wouldn't give a ****. He can say whatever he wants as long as he doesn't physically touch me or become overly aggressive I'm ok with it.

This would also apply to a female and an old/unattractive male doc. She repels because she's repulsed at the idea of some old/unattractive guy wanting to bang her and having to bare his ugly kids. 😉 I guess she could also feel belittled.

That might be easier said than done, especially if you haven't spent your entire life having to deal with those sorts of unwanted comments, and then growing older and entering into the "professional" world and still having to deal with *****s yet again. You're also forgetting that females have a high frequency of sexual assault. All those unwanted sexual remarks might just act as a cue to some previous experience.

Also, this is slightly old but wondering if we can get a follow-up on the shadowing experience from the OP! You guys dating yet?

On a serious note though, I've heard countless sexual innuendos in clinical settings, especially towards women, and it can get pretty uncomfortable. I think something about the environment just brings out the primitive in ya?
