Will a letter of recommendation from a statistics professor count as a science letter for DO schools?

I know it will count for MD programs, but not sure about DO programs.

You'll have to check with the individual DO programs. However, the AACOMAS course subjects list places statistics as contributing to the non-science GPA : AACOMAS Course Subjects

Pretty sure it doesn't count as a science letter. What year are you? Can you get a letter from a real science professor?
