I have ~4 weeks to go before my exam and I'm totally scared right now - I have barely memorized FA (which everyone says is a must, and I can't even begin to manage, haven't done 2nd passes on most topics (or even a 1st pass on things like micro), and am totally afraid that this isn't possible, that I'm not going to pull it together in time.

Is this normal or do people actually begin to feel like they have a handle on it? If I review a topic, I feel ok, but like 2-3 days later it's gone.... And I don't think I'm doing nearly the volume of questions that one should, in part because I don't feel like I have a good enough handle on the material to be doing questions! 🙁

Any pearls, comments, commiserations are always appreciated!

I am in the same predicament......but worse. I have read FA almost twice now and still know nothing.. ...with only like 50 days left, I am freaking out.

Help us both Sdn.

Questions questions questions... putting all this information into context has really helped me to make connections between disease, drug, biochem, etc.

umm...i take the exam on april 30 and am panicking. UW makes me want to cry. the only thing im hanging onto is i jumped 40 points from my baseline to my practice test 2 weeks ago, without studying any pharm or micro. hopefully once ive crammed those two things into these last few days, my score will have skyrocketed.

(p.s. i hate pharm and micro and have been doing everything possible to avoid studying them.)

I'm in a similar boat, and while I've gone thru most of FA, RR Path, BRS Physio ... I don't feel good about this at all. I do Qs and I tend to get them right, but took a Boards Bootcamp Diagnostic and scored the equivalency of a fail in the 3-digit score for the COMLEX. If I can't pass the COMLEX, I don't think I stand much of a shot for the USMLE, and hence I've hesitated taking an NBME.

Our curriculum isn't over yet, and if I study hardcore for boards I fail class exams and if I study for class then I don't have much time to devote to boards and I forget things so easily. Like the OP, I feel good for 2-3 days and then poof it disappears. I am not feeling good about this AT ALL.

I hear that!
