Could anyone shed some light on this. Researching it brings up a lot of information on Alabama, but I'm from Utah and going to school in Oregon this fall. Is it a state-by-state thing? Can you return to do it in your home state if you went to medical school out of state? How does the scholarship work? Any info/links would be helpful. Thanks!

I am wondering about this as well... I have heard they are VERY tough to get, and that getting the loan payoffs out of school are near impossible as well... I was actually thinking about posting in the residency section to see if anyone knows of someone who was actually able to do either of these... Come to think of it, this could be a good question in the med student forum...
