So I purchased CrackPAT a couple days ago and am very impressed with the software. I went to getting 4/15 keyholes on my first topscore to 13/15 on CrackPAT. I'm a bit disappointed though.. I believe it should be 14/15 and if not, I want to know what I'm not getting.

Curse CrackPAT for not allowing copy or print screen or I would post the picture on here. It was also a random test so I can't point those CrackPAT users of you to the correct question.

Here's what the top view should sort of look like (even and connect the lines however)

If you look at it from the side, the two vertical lines are actually squares. One has a notch (like a triangle) cut out from it's corner whereas the other does not.

In the correct keyhole, it shows that there is a notch. This obviously can not be correct or the second "wall" would get held up when it hits this. This is correct, no? From what I can tell, the correct keyhole would show a square.

The keyhole I chose showed the top view (the one I drew out) with the horizontal line extended.

This shouldn't normally be correct however it was the only one that it would pass through without getting hung up. The extra space doesn't help nor hurt.

If someone could help me in getting the image from CrackPAT from my software to this thread I would appreciate it. Or if anyone knows that there are some errors here and there, that would be great too.

*end of rant* :annoyed:

use snipping tool which comes with most laptops running Vista or any software and takes snap shots of your monitor. then upload it on tinypic. com and go from there..

CrackPAT operates so that when it is open, you can't access anything. Like it goes fullscreen and that's the end of doing anything else on your computer. I'm just going to take a picture with my phone. Soon to follow..

hahahhahaaa.. use the windows button to pop up your start menu and so everything will be possible 😉

My regards that those are so big.. I couldn't figure out how to size them down using my amazing paint photo editor pro 😀.

Try zooming out by holding down ctrl and scrolling out.

I chose A as the correct answer but it is actually D?

If you notice what I'm talking about.. D has the notch cut out. This can't be true as if you look at the original object.. only one panal has the missing notch? Correct me if I'm wrong.

A is the best answer despite the random thing hanging off the edge.

man are you serious its hard to see them separated...

K here is how to take pictures

you have couple options...
1. while crack dat pat is open to your question just take a screen shot by pressing "print screen" button on your keyboard. then you open Paint brush and paste it and do some editing and save it... then post it.....
2. option: download a free program called screen hunter and after you install it. have on crackdat pat press F6 then you can select the area you want to take a pic of it... and it will be automatically saved in my pictures and clip board.....

its hard to read all those pics especially they are really blurry....

I've tried both of these and they won't work when CrackPAT is up. It's like my keyboard doesn't work (in regards to these commands). Both methods work when CrackPAT is not up. Do you have the program? As far as I know it's not possible to capture a screen shot. Maybe I just have an updated version where they disabled any possible way of doing this?

tell me what test and what problem it is i will try to post it for you

Finally good job about the picture 🙂

Sometime these things are harder to see right... but lets use process of elimination POE
A. 2 horizontal things are equal in size so ==eliminate
B. C. Easy to eliminate its obviously not the correct ans...
D. correct answer
E. where did that Vertical hole come from.... so eliminate

out of curiosity have you read instructions for pat for books such as kaplan... b/c its really helpful not the instructions that they give your right before the test...

I bought Kaplan but it hasn't arrived yet. All I have so far in my DAT arsenal is Crack PAT, MATH, SCIENCE (I know this is worthless but it came free), & READING. Kaplan and Cliff's AP BIO en route.

Do you get what I'm saying with the flipping notch thing? How is this possible? And am I missing something big because I can deffinately fit that figure through A. I just have an extra thing hanging on the edge. Normally I wouldn't do that but under the given circumstance of D not working for me I chose it.

Maybe I'm missing an essential "guideline" for this section?

Scratch that, upon further review A can't work. Each horizontal line extends a tiny bit past the left vertical line. Much like that shown in option C.

Yeah I remember I used to be so bad at these before the test. I used to score 14-15 on PAT when I first started crack dat, but on the real test I got a 21. CDP will really help you learn to eliminate the wrong answers faster so that even on problems like this, where it might not look right you'll know its right because everything else is not possible. Sorry if that didn't make sense

Do you get what I'm saying here though?? I mean just look at D. See where the circles are? It CAN NOT FIT!

Ugh. I am obsessed with this question. 😡

Yeah I know initially it looks like it can't but if you look closely in reality it can fit. The bottom panel is longer than the top panel. thus the key hole takes the shape of the bottom panel and the top doesn't play a role in not letting it go through. I had the same problem you did with problems like this, the day of you test just look for the 2 easy wrong answers and then really concentrate on the last two possibilities. I had alot of questions like these I feel on my real DAT

I see it now. Thanks.
