Absolutely not. However, dental schools with candidates holding multiple positions after March 1 will contact those candidates and give them a minimum fifteen-day notice to affirm their position in the class or to withdraw their position. And I believe if you don't respond within the allotted notification time frame, the school can choose to withdraw you from their entering class.
Thank you for the information. I paid a deposit at a school I got into earlier already. I've grown to really like the school too. I wasn't sure if getting accepted off the waitlist at another school would cause any issues since March 1 passed.
No problem! If you're definitely set on the school from earlier, just let the other school know you won't be attending as soon as you can. That way it doesn't affect financial aid or anything like that
You're never required to go to that school if you didn't pay a deposit and even then you could walk away and pay another deposit elsewhere. Just politely decline the offer quickly but professionally... we understand, and it helps someone else on the WL.
