Does Interfolio let you recycle letters?

If I don't get in this year and I decide to re-apply, can I have Interfolio re-send my letters from this year? Or do I have to ask the writers to re-send the letters to Interfolio?

yes you can, but it would be better to get your letter writers to re-date and resubmit. and some schools have rules on how old the letter can be. I say, don't be lazy, and your letter writers won't mind. just re-send if you reapply.

You know, I've been to a couple of interviews where one of the interviewers admitted to me that they didn't have a chance to read my application. If that's the case, what is the likelihood that schools will even read my letters of recommendation, much less pay attention to the dates written on them, much less be bothered by the fact that the letter says 2007 vs. 2008 on it?

As long as your account doesn't expire, Interfolio doesn't care when the letter is from, they'll send it out for you.

And if you're a reapplicant, a good chunk of the schools will have your old letters on file anyways. They'll only ask for new ones.

I have a question for some of you folks who use interfolio...

can you have interfolio send the same letter to multiple recipients at different times? say October send it to location X and December send it to location Y..... Or does interfolio only give you one chance to send 1 letter?

As long as a letter is in your file, you can send it out as often as you want, to as many locations as you want (as long as you're willing to pay!)

Ex: I've had to re-send a letter to one med school several times, and Interfolio doesn't care one bit.
