to let schools know you're going to be out of the country for 10 days? Does it seem like you expect them to give you an interview in that time? I won't have phone or email access during this time.

I wouldn't worry about it notifying anyone but it is up to you I guess.....I had 1 school only give me 3 days notice for an interview but all others were way in advance.

Won't help much either. A lot of times, they are from automatic - nonreplying email addresses. Rarely do schools give you less than 10 days of notice, esp this early in the season.
