So I have been accepted to one school that is very respectable and is actively recruiting me. They gave me a small scholarship and have treated me great throughout this entire process. There is another school that I am waitlisted at that I liked a little more and has a better reputation (this school is known for waitlist movement). My question is, does this recruitment/reciprocal interest make any difference in my medical education other than the scholarship? Like would I be missing out if I went to the one that waitlisted me rather than the one that really seems to care about me being there? I realize this is a good problem to have but I would like to hear y'alls thoughts.

I was in the exact same situation a couple of weeks ago and I still withdrew. My thinking was that it didn't matter how much a school wanted me, I was gonna go where I felt was the best fit.

Any current medical students have this situation?

They get thousands of applications, and interview and accept hundreds. They're not your friend specifically, and you won't break their heart no matter what you do. Don't worry about it.

Is the school Harvar/Stanford class? if so, then yes.

If it's Albany/NYMC class, then no.
