Does it Matter if I use 2011 LORs instead of 2012 LORs?

So I signed up for ERAS last year, uploaded U.S LORs that are dated 2011.

I decided to not apply for match last year, as I wanted to graduate from medical school and try for PTAL/H1b visa (IMG).

So I graduated last month, and will be applying this Sept. for 2013 match. I'm using the option in ERAS to transfer last year LORs.

However, I know there is an option that I can 'update' the LORs. Is this worthwhile. Basically all my LOR writers will do is change the date from July 2011 to July 2012 on the letterhead.

Will program directors care if I submit this year LORs dated July 2011?

Thanks!

In a word - YES. I see a 2011 letter and I wonder what you've been doing all year. What are you hiding? Get the letters changed.
