Sorry about late reply, migration to Tapatalk messed up my notifications.

It can, depending on what you want to do. If interested in research, going to a shop that has bonafides with basic/translational can help. If interested in government/industry, same advice holds. If you want to educate, then almost any will do.

Think about what you want long-term and that will inform where you apply.
