does provost's honors on my transcript count as an honor on the pharmcas?

At my school (UCSD) you get Provost's Honors on your transcript if you get over a 3.5 for the quarter. I've had Provost's Honors every quarter since I've been in college but I'm not really sure if that would count as an honor to list on my app. They ask for a certain date so do I just put it in once or put it in for.. every quarter I've had it, which would seem pretty repetitive? Thanks!

i'm a general biology major. i'm guessing by your sn that you're also graduating next year too. are you applying right now?

I just graduated from UCSD and I put Provost's Honors for just the first quarter that I received it. I think it's a little repetitive to put it every quarter. Also, since you received Provost's Honors every quarter, I'm sure that you will most likely get Latin honors conferred upon you at graduation (cum laude, magna, summa) so if you prefer, you can just put that on when you graduate.

I would just omit it because it's not special (i.e., automatic, many opportunities, short-term slightly above average achievement) and redundant to information readily obtained from your GPA. Latin honors (especially magna and summa) on the other hand, would be something worth mentioning as far as recognitions for GPA goes.

I would include it. unless you already have a lot of other awards to showcase in that section.

An honor is an honor, def put it down. As far as the date thing goes, put it down from when u first received it to when u last received it(ie. 12/05-5/09). Schools will understand this..

When I applied, PharmCAS had instructions about where to put an honor roll award.
