Most state supported medical schools, both MD and DO, favor in state applicants. Its the private schools that do not have a regional preference.

Is it still worth applying to?

Yes Rowan has a considerable IS bias but they are not as bad as TCOM for example. Im OOS and got an II here with 3.7 CGPA, 3.6 SGPA. 505 MCAT. Im actually canceling my interview because the tuition situation sucks for OOS students at Rowan. You will be paying OOS tuition for all 4 years (currently 59K and rising). There no programs or conditions to get the IS rate.

Many New York/New Jersey public medical schools (SUNYs, Stony Brook, etc.) grant IS tuition after first year. However, unfortunately, Rowan doesn't do it, unfortunately. I think they would attract great applicants if they change this and see their admission stats shoot up through the roof.

With that cost, I would rather go to CCOM. The area is extremely nice around there.
