Does the type of research you did matter?

I have ~600 hours of ecological research (and a poster) where I was outside doing stuff (setting up traps, collecting stuff, etc.) rather than the traditional bench research (which I think is hella boring). So I am curious if one type of research is worth more than others.

As long as you can speak intelligently to what you gained out of the experience and how it helped develop your scientific thinking then you should be fine.

That's what I figured, I really enjoyed the research I did, so I think that will show.
