First post, but I've been lurking these forums heavily. I can't find much, other than badmouthing CC credits while in State Uni (even if excelling GPA).

I am graduating this summer from a well-ranked state UG, but nothing fancy. I worked nearly full time back home to help pay for school between Sophomore and Junior years. I took biology courses while there because they were free on waiver.

I did my own advising because I was not pre-medical or anything at the time. I took a BIO I & BIO II w/included lab were 5.0 quarter credits at my local Community College. Total = 10.0 quarter credits or technically 6.66 semester credits.

They transfer to my state university transcript as 6.66 semester, but are referenced as the standard 8.0 credit bio sequence pre-meds at my university usually take (considered equivalent). For those asking even though it was quarters there was no BIOIII or anything like that offered and was meant to be a complete sequence for transferring. Both used the same textbook and topics.

I also have taken a human physiology course that is listed in our Bio dept. at 4.0 credits semester w/ lab at my state school, I also took a 4.0 credits human anatomy in my Health dept w/ lab.

I got A's in each of these courses. Can this work for my Biology credit sequence for a majority of most state MD schools?? I took all other sciences w/ A's at my state school otherwise. Can't go back in time.

Help?? Advice?? :luck:

You should be fine. I took AP Bio when in HS and received credit for it at my university, then took Anatomy +lab and physiology +lab. Worked fine for me.

I can't imagine a case in which a med school would reject anat and phys as a substitute for bio I and II, AND reject the bio I and II course that you took at CC.
