The dreaded IA conversation:
My freshman year I was transported to the ER after drinking too much. This was a major mistake and nothing remotely like it has happened to me since. I have very much learned my lesson from this experience.
I was underage and was required to see the campus physician, attend a counseling session, and take an online course regarding alcohol consumption. However, I did not receive any points or anything on my record for this incident because my university is very forgiving with first-time offenses.
I was under the impression that I did not need to disclose it because it is not on any record of mine, however, I am now not so sure as to whether or not I do need to disclose it.
If I don't have to, I would of course prefer to not discuss this event in my application. If it is necessary, I am more than willing to explain the lesson I learned from this experience and how I have grown since then.
Do I need to include this as an IA?
I'm having a lot of trouble finding out what counts as an IA and what does not so I sincerely appreciate your help.
