I have a copy of practice sets from 2014, but I'm wondering if its worth it to spring for a new set if its updated enough. Does anyone know if the sets change that much from year to year?

I'm not the definitive source of info on this, but I used the 2017 set last year. My office has a couple older books laying around, and a casual perusal appeared very similar. Also, going through the 2017 set, I saw a lot of info that was obviously old, with only minor revisions to make it current (like a reference to an old drug, only to say it's not used anymore).

I think the 2014 set will serve you well. There are 6 books in all, as I recall. If you don't have them all, maybe you can buy new versions of the sets you don't have. Make sure you read up on current guidelines, like ACC/AHA, ASRA coal, NRP, ACLS, etc.

If you have access to an older set of UPB through some source out there, it’s probably just fine. I used an old one, which was marked up even on the scanned pages - easy for on-the-go studying. You should be able to fill in the blanks and new changes just being active clinically (e.g. sugammadex and the issues that go along with it).

If you have an old set I definitely wouldn’t purchase a new one unless you have academic / education fund cash to burn.
