Does updating the classes and GPA sections of your AMCAS application after it's been submitted, make you lose your place in line?

I'm thinking about taking late spring and/or summer classes.

(I searched SDN and only found responses about adding schools late, which I don't intend to do.)

Someone correct me if I am wrong but,...
... I don't think you can make changes to your application once it's submitted.

Correct - kind of. I wanted to update my transcript on AMCAS and was only able to do so BEFORE my app was verified (and after it was already submitted). Once you've finished verification, you can no longer update your grades.

I submitted the new transcript to AMCAS and, basically, if they receive your transcript before they start verification, they'll use the new transcript. If verification has already started, then you're out of luck. Either way, your "place" in the verification line is not affected.
