does the admission committee give much emphasis on ur current univeristy in which u r studyin?

I think it makes sense to finish the MPH study before going to an advanced standing program.

what i wanted 2 ask is .......what if one is still doing mph and applies for dds..........do they consider the status of the university .......even if u dont want to complete mph...........

Mph goes more into medicine ....... and if you are interseted in public health u can always do advanced education in dental public health after your dds... so why waste time in non-dental field!!!

I think that absolutely makes sense....but what do u think one could do in the time gap of enterin this country and gettin thru a university??? since we cant work as a dentist...what according to u r some good options for people who donot have work permits?...lets accept its tuff not doin anythin for such a long time....

thanks ..i appreciate ur effort to reply.....i jst gave my part 1 and am anxioulsy waitin for the result....n was thinkin of wat to do to improve my resume...i have donme some hands on courses in India and some volunteer work also..along with a 2 yr work ex....ur post has reallly helped me...wat is ur thinkin about the preceptorships in UCLA or teh certificate course in clinical resreach at USC? bcos i am in california and married so cannot go to NYU for a yr....or
