Hey all,

From what I can tell, this question hasn't been asked on here in a number of years (sorry if I'm wrong about that!), but does anyone know much about how competitive Med/Peds is for DO's these days? I know there's a handful from my school that match each year, but I'm wondering if anyone who has gone through the process of applying can speak to this? Do DO applicants need higher Step scores/better clerkship grades/something to set us apart a little more than MD applicants?

Thanks guys- hope everyone's staying safe and COVID free!

From my more limited experience sitting at the table for rank lists at a middle of the road program, the biggest issue with DO candidates is an inability to figure out what a comlex score means despite having DO faculty. I am sure different places have different biases, but a program with DO residents or faculty is likely not going to be an issue.
