Hello SDN community! 🙂 I am currently a freshmen majoring in Biological Sciences and I am trying to plan out my schedule for the next four years (or at least get a jest of it). Looking at the sample 4 year plan for a Biological Sciences major at my university, I noticed that only taking about 3 classes and maybe one lab per quarter would lead to my degree completion ( I have AP credit btw). That would only be 12-14 units per quarter, and thus seems like a very light course load to med schools. Should I double major, minor, or take a bunch of different classes that interest me such as history, humanities, public health, psychology, math etc.? How should I go about filling in more units to prove to med schools that I can handle the course load in med school?
Thank you! 🙂

Plan to take some random electives in your first two years to explore things that interest you. In your third year, take upper level courses based on electives you've taken & enjoyed (going deeper into one or two areas without necessarily doing a minor). Adcoms do like to see some depth as well as breadth with courses outside of the pre-reqs.
