Hi guys. I am a current student at UCLA and was wondering if it is better to strictly double major in the sciences or double major in a science and a humanities as a pre-dental student. Thank you
Do what you enjoy - and be sure that you're not just trying to double major to make yourself look better for admissions - because the small benefit you (may) get will likely not be worth the effort if it's not two fields you love.
don't go around trying to double major in things to make your application "stand out".... Sure we all wanna double major in nuclear physics and theoretical mathematics but if it leads you to a 2.5 GPA then your fellow arts major with a 3.9 just surpased you in every aspect of the pre-dental application.
Like therock21 said, pick something that shines your GPA
Neither one looks "better" than the other, or better than a single major, for that matter.
In any case, you should only be looking at a double major anyways if your desire is to explore two subjects thoroughly, rather than the traditional single subject... Don't choose your major(s) based on what you think will look good.
