Ack, I have exactly 20 minutes left to schedule my flight to New York...and about 7 hours before I have to get up for work tomorrow 🙁 (I need my 8 hours of sleep!). And I have a problem...

My original plan was to fly up to NYC on Tuesday morning, and meet my sister there and hang out in the city for the day...then have my Cornell interview the following day (if I reschedule the interview for the morning), and later that day take the train to New Haven. The next day (Thursday) I would interview at Yale and fly back home that evening.

But I just re-read Yale's email and it says that they only schedule interviews on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays...ack! I would otherwise say that this all sounds too complicated, and I could just decline the Yale interview, but the more I read about Yale (the low stress levels...or so I hear...and the program in general), the cooler it sounds.

So I guess I could forget about hanging out with my sister 🙁 and re-schedule my Cornell interview for Tuesday morning (if they'll let me). Then I could take the train to New Haven that afternoon, and interview at Yale on Wednesday (I'm not sure how flexible they are with their scheduling, either). Hmmm...any ideas?

I know I should have done this much earlier, but starting a new job and having to wake up at 6:30 A.M. as opposed to my usual 11 A.M. wake-up time, has really messed with my spare time... plus I'm too tired after 8 hours of typing to look up stuff on the internet.

OK, this post was probably way too complicated and annoying... I guess I could just wait til tomorrow (and have to pay about $20 more for my tickets) to decide...

Help! Anyone have any thoughts within the next 10 minutes?!

Thanks,

This would be my suggestion. I was reading in an another thread about how you needed a week to recuperate from going to an interview up North! :wow: I think you should take a time out and chill before the application process takes an irreversible toll on you. After all, when we're actually in med school, this stuff isn't fractionally as taxing as rotations and call, so don't stress yourself into a tizzy just yet. We don't wanna lose ya, karen! 🙂

I suggest dishing out the extra couple of bucks for a hotel and interview at Yale on Friday, because the money will be totally insignificant if you end up falling in love with the school.

Good luck,
