nope, nothing.
i emailed the adcom yesturday and got an email from them this morning saying that letters were sent out on monday and we should be getting something any day. if it doesn't come by next tuesday, i'll call them.

Nothing for me either. That's weird. We don't really live that far for mail to take 5 days. It must be tomorrow. Getting .

I interviewed Feb 8th and still nothing !!! 9wks and 2 days including tomorrow......... I actually live 3miles from Downstate so if letters were sent out Monday I should have gotten them at latest Wednesday...... Hope its good news for all of us......... 🙂

i'm banking on them sticking to 10-12 weeks so you'll probably hear next week.

if someone who interviewed in jan still hasn't heard, they are seriously taking their time.

OHHH!!! APPARITION!! i'm so sorry to hear that, hopefully they will pull through and let you in. don't you have your heart set on VCU? i remember reading that in another thread. this makes me sad since we interviewed on the same day and we kind of bonded over hearing back from them this week 🙁

Thanks for the good wishes, WendyWellesley. It's better than a rejection but I'm so tired of waitlists (sitting on 3 now). I liked both Downstate and VCU, but for personal/location reasons, Downstate would be a better choice. I'd love to go to VCU too though. I heard that SUNY waitlists move but don't know about Downstate, in particular.

There's some threads from last year about the downstate hold list. They didn't see movement until the end of may and through june, but it seemed like a bunch of sdn-ers got in from being on-hold. Of course, by then, it was too little too late for many.

downstate. i had a terrible experience at upstate. i think it really comes down to whether or not you're a country mouse or a city mouse. i hope you get in dr. kitty!!
