My GPA is okay I guess for osteopathic schools (3.4, sGPA 3.2) but to make it worse, I've pretty much been on a downward trend since Freshman year where I started off with a mid 3.5. I know it's not that big of a difference, but are they going to assume that I can't handle upper level science classes based on this information?

shoot for a 28+ i think and you will be fine....just dont expect to get into every school....good luck

They would look at your individual grades for upper division science classes. And yes, shoot for 28+ on the MCAT with 9+ for BS. Apply early and broadly.

I had a huge downward trend. My gpa is 3.4. However, I started off my freshman year with a 3.8. Yet, I got in a few D.O. schools late in the cycle. My mcat was a 28 if that helps.

You'll need to try to come up with a good reason for your downward trend. Your GPA is lower than the average, so I agree with the others that a high MCAT score will be very important.
