Hey,
To those of you who have taken the pcat, did you practkce Dr. Collins essays? There are so many topics it just seems like a hassle/waste of time to do those when I could study/practice instead!!also, did you use any other books or just Dr. Collins? Thanks!!

No I didn't bother practicing for the essay. A good format to use is:

Intro (state your thesis, define the problem(s))

Solution 1

Solution 2

Alternative solution(optional)

Conclusion, restate thesis and summarize main points of solutions.

So there you have it, 4-5 paragraphs and you're good 🙂

^Yea I agree with everything he said.

I didn't practice essay at all but I know I did good on it.

I went with 4 paragraphs, two solutions to each problem.

BTW - I had no idea there were TWO writing sections on the exam until I got to the actual exam...I was like 😕

I felt good about both of them though.
