Another reason to hate Dr. Oz.

Could you imagine being one of these paramedics who were already on the scene, and then seeing Dr. Oz and his entourage roll up and start snapping photos for the Oz Show Facebook page. What a tool.

Did you actually read the article? Oz gives props to guy for doing what he did and then gave a generic, "first responders are great!" You hate someone for highlighting the good things people do? What is wrong with you?

The only bad thing about that article was the lady who was so dramatically injured. I don't know anything about what kind of person Dr. Oz is but why are you dogging him, OP?

I hate Oz as much as the next guy, but your post is very misleading.

Agreed. Can't stand the guy but from the article I read, he just ran over to make sure everything was ok and didn't just randomly take things over.

Except he didn't interfere with EMS; he applauds them in the article.

Well done. OP got slammed again for his ignorance and lack of comprehension. Keep trying OP

Many irritating things that Dr. Oz does, but not sure that this is one of them. He does seem to have an inordinate need for attention, but then again, who doesn't on television?

I hate Dr. Oz, and but this attempt at bashing is a fail.

+1

He has some good info, and sometimes will say things people need to hear. But its in between too much "Miracle drug/Miracle Pill/Miracle Exercise, etc" that really rubs me the wrong way. But that's probably just what happens when your on TV every single day.

You might disagree, but I would contend that Oz' mere presence at the scene after EMS was already there was totally unnecessary and potentially harmful. Unless he was able to do something for her that the paramedics couldn't (which he didn't), if his celebrity presence delayed her transport to an ED by one second, then he didn't do her any favors. A normal, non-attention-seeking physician would probably check out the situation and say "Ok, EMS got this. Nothing for me to do here. Let's roll back to the studio." Oz instead posts a picture of himself with the plumber, which seems to me like shameless self-promotion in addition to his acknowledgment of others' contributions. Oh well.

So his very presence is interference, but your own expectations for any physician witnessing some such emergency would be to check the situation to make sure there is nothing wrong that the paramedic/EMT cannot handle... I can imagine what you would have posted if Oz had failed to assess the situation: "See? He didn't even try to help someone who could have been dying for all he knew! He just walked away and let the EMS take care of it, and that could have caused this person their life!!!eleven1!"

BTW, I am in no way a fan of Oz....your post seems to stretch reality pretty far however.....

I think it's more the fact that the CNN article title has Dr. Oz's name in it as if he was the one who actually did anything. If it were just some random doctor, this wouldn't be news.

I don't think the article makes him look "tooly" but the title is certainly misleading.
