Drexel Acceptances?

Anyone get a status change today? Supposedly Friday is the day they do all the status updates. I'm going on 11 weeks since my interview and I still have the "under review by admissions committee...no decision yet" message. I'm starting to think my file slipped off of a desk and into a garbage can somewhere in that office. I hate to quote Tom Petty but I'm gonna do it anyway, "The waiting is the hardest part".

It took me 18 weeks to get the "A decision has been made" status. 20 if you include waiting for the letter in the mail.
 
If your application is lost, mine is right there with it. I haven't even gotten the "under review" message yet and I'm at 10 weeks.
 
OK....so it's 3:15 EST and I just checked my status page and it has finally changed to "a decision has been made". I'm not sure whether or not to call them and have them fax the decision or just wait for the letter. Judging by everyone's posts it seems the letter takes approximate 2 weeks to arrive, which would pretty much land it right on my birthday (yikes). Anyone know how long you have to wait to call and have them fax it? Good luck to everyone waiting to hear from Drexel!

Try calling right now if you want to know! You should be able to still catch someone in the office that'd be willing to fax it over, but if you wait another 30-45 min you'll be SOL until Monday. Good luck, let us know how it goes (I've been rooting for everyone lately, it seems!).

Yeah it cant hurt to call and ask for it now, but I thought people said that the letters had to be printed before they could be faxed (which would put you into next week)

Ya, I'm also curious as to how soon they fax it to you. If you give it a shot, let us know.

I have a 29N and 3.95 BCPM. Drexel is my only chance of getting in that doesn't involve a waitlist (Jeff), so I have my fingers crossed. I would prefer Jeff over Drexel, but either would be great. How about you?

I really appreciate everyone's support. I too have heard that they need a few days to print out the letter. I will probably call them on Monday if I can muster up the courage to do so. Best of luck to all of you as well!

Hey guys! I also got a status change to "final decision" on Friday!! I'm planning on calling sometime next week to ask if they would fax the letter to me.

I did have the "a member..." before it changed to your app is under review by the admissions commettee and then it changed to a decision has been made after a while. Hope all goes well with you!👍

My status changed this past Friday to "Final Decision.." how early do you think I can ask for a fax?
 
you might as well wait. judging by last year and years past, the class is probably full already and everyone is probably being held/waitlisted until numbers decrease. i know it sucks and i'm not trying to be negative. but, everyone knows they have to be careful this year about over-enrolling. don't be mad at drexel (or other schools) - a lot of the non-movement is all those people that hold multiple acceptances until the drop date.....WHY!?!? bragging rights? i wish everyone the best of luck....

At least your status has changed! I have not had a change in status. Nor have I interviewed. They interview to April so I guess I keep the fingers crossed. I wrote an email weeks ago that has gone unanswered.
 
I got the "a final decision has been made" status on Monday one week ago. Apparently the letter was mailed Tuesday, the next day. I didn't want to wait to anymore so i decided to call today and ask for the FAX. It was good news...I got accepted. My mom was crying when she told me. I guess they still have spots open for applicants afterall.

rejected. Took 10 days or so to get the letter. Now its down to the waitlist at Jeff or retaking the MCAT and reapplications.

I a wondering when the interview season finishes this year.
I've been complete since september '07 but my file is still "under consideration." At this point can I consider that as a reject or is thare still a chance for an interview?

Ok, this should satisfy supid33's question as well. My status changed to "decision made" last Friday. I called today and they said my letter wasn't printed yet. When I asked when to expect it to be printed they said "later in the week." So I'm guessing by Friday it might be ready, but who knows. I'll probably just end up waiting until Monday. Hope that helps. Good luck guys.

Here is what Drexel sent me today - I asked your question.

" All interviews have been extended and a final decision will be made in the
next few months."

Those that are waiting for a decision - get out your grandma's ol' rocking chair. Looks like you are in for a bit of a wait!
 
Seems that Drexel may be faxing out decisions for those who recently went to decision. I called on Monday and they said they would start on Thursday.

Anyone tried calling yet?

Just got my acceptance letter today. 🙂 Interviewed 2/26, status changed to "a decision has been made" on 3/21, letter arrived 4/03. I will in all likelihood withdraw, pending some large amount of financial aid.

i heard april 12th is the 'official' last day...next saturday.
 
A new week...when I called Drexel last Friday, they said they'd fax out decisions (for those whose status checkers went to decision around 1.5 weeks ago) this week, most likely starting on Monday.
Too bad I'm at work right now. Anyone got any news?

I called today. The letters have not been printed yet. The guy said they will be printed sometime this week. Also I asked if they will be able to fax the letters and he said they aren't faxing anymore. So we all have to wait for the mail! 😡
 
The letters were mailed out on Monday, the lady told me that they are still giving out acceptances at this point..good luck guys!

my status changed this past friday to "decision made." i called today and was told that the letters have not yet been printed or signed by the dean, but that they should be going out by later this week.
