has anybody who was interviewing at drexel had any luck asking for an interview at temple as well?

Temple admissions office people are jerks. I called to ask about my application (hello? I've been complete since 8/8, and they've had my secondary since 7/17!) and all I got was "check the status page." When I tried to ask more questions the woman was hostile and just kept telling me to check the status page.

But good luck with that.

Still no letter of acceptance / rejection. If they sent the letter tuesday I should have received it on Saturday...but nope...now im in michigan spending the night before my interview thinking about where my letter from Drexel is lol

I called again and they told me that it JUST went to committee and i should expect to hear in 3 weeks, assuming they talk about my application this Thursday (and if they dont, it will be 4+ weeks). I interviewed on 9/26. That would make it over 11 weeks post-interview. 🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁

I doubt it has to do with my stats. Although anything is possible I guess. They told me that it was because my interviewers didnt get their stuff in. I feel if my stats were too low, they would just reject me post-interview and not string me along like this. They said that my file will just now go to the committee (probably this thursday) but the lady said they may not even get to it. 🙁

Thanks. Im actually not too optimistic about this. I have very mediocre stats and they have made a lot of acceptances already. I dont know, im not going to dwell on it. Just wanted to cry to you guys here. Nothing I can do now, so I will shut up.

I have interviews coming soon though...and I am nervous about that too...I won't get a lot of chances and want to make them count. BTW for those of you interviewing at Penn St...(Tigress) can you give me some pointers on how to prepare for it or what to watch out for or keep in mind. My drexel interview and penn st interview are both only a week away...

Penn State was completely laid back. I was in the morning interview group. You'll have 2 faculty interviews. Think of some reasons why you're interested in the school and why you wouldn't mind living out in the country, because they might ask that. Other than that, it's no different than any other school. Their presentations are completely boring and useless. Lunch with students could be good, except the students I was with were pretty immature. The facilities are quite nice, and the tour is good. The tour is given by a volunteer tour guide (ours was a nice old man).
I can't think of anything else. If I do I'll let you know.

btw, it's been 8+ weeks since I interviewed but I haven't heard. Nobody has heard, even people who interviewed before me. So who knows what's up with them.

Yes VPD, I interviewed with Dr. Hanau. I almost feel like she went on a 2 month vacation or something. I emailed her several times and did not give a response to any of my questions. 🙁

I really think it depends who you interview with. I feel it is totally random because several people, besides myself, are in the same situation. It seems it really doesnt matter whether you hustle and get an early interview. 🙁

also w/ penn state: if you get the one guy i interviewed w/, he makes it stressful, and i had a horrible interview due to his questioning....i was quite angry and sad after the interview...no, i don't remember his name nor do i care to remember

yup, that's me! not too much is up. i got one acceptance so far, so i quit my job and i'm going to start nannying and walking dogs. should be a fun life for the next 9 months!

I like the Drexel curriculum, but I had a bad interview experience and am now thinking of withdrawing my application because of it. I don't think they treat applicants very well at all.

I'm somewhat paranoid becuase i applied at the last minute last year and didn't hear from anybody. Of course, I did do just about everything wrong. like waited till the very last minute before submitting secondaries. no idea what to write for the secondaries, etc.

This year, AMCAS delayed my app by a month and a quarter. I did get the secondaries in 1-3 days after receiving them. I also knew what to write and how to write it properly. One year is a long time to wait for another shot so I was ready.

I have 2 more interviews so far so if the process is totally random then I will , most likely, get in somewhere. I'll be happy to get that first acceptance then i won't care anymore.

I got into Loyola a few weeks ago, so the celebratory drinking has already subsided, unfortunately.

I loved Loyola, but Drexel has its perks too (specifically, it would put me closer to my family). They are very different schools.

And, really, I'm just feeling greedy lately and want multiple acceptances.

I then asked if my interview reviews are in my file yet, and she said she couldn't determine that, which she did last week. THIS IS NOT FAIR 😡 😡 😡

you better believe i told them NINE twenty six....except more like SEPTEMBER twenty-sixth....and then i mashed the phone keypad in anger...i hope that helps move them along (note: i did not actually do that 🙂 )
