Hey guys, I'm not registered for any classes right now and I'm starting to worry that I should be. I just finished an informal post-bacc of 55 credit hrs of science and two non-science classes. You can see my stats in my signature. Should I be raising my science gpa to 3.0 this semester or should I be researching masters programs? I'm worried that even if I did awesome in a masters program some schools would still use my undergrad gpa's and the science gpa might be killing me. I wanted to get a job and make some money, but I'm worried that won't look good and that I'm losing a year of increasing my stats. Would it look cheesy if I e-mailed adcoms about this after I already applied?

C'mon Mochafreak.....take some classes with me....it'll be fun, we can sit in the back and make smartass comments the whole time 🙂

Sounds like fun Steve. 🙂 You didn't exactly answer the question though, what do you think?

Oh, and yes, it is possible to get A's from the very back row (for all of you that have never sat past the second row 😀 ). I actually had someone express total shock over that concept the other day.

I sit at the back of every class with my hat low, my headphones on and my gin in my hand 😀

you seem to be on the right track mocha; you did well on your DAT and did very well on your 55 cr of post bac. even if you now go and take classes, the schools will not see your grades till mid January. and since by now you have over 180 credits accumulated, I am not sure how helpful 12 more credits might be. schools are looking for those who have shown that can handle lots of studying and at the same time very well rounded ones. If you can, i suggest you take on a research job. you can brag a lot about it in your interviews.
best of luck.

reading all the fine details of the textbook while listening to the recorded lectures.

That was exactly my plan...I know I can do research...not sure if I'll get paid though.

I see no problem with pursuing your masters.....I don't think it could hurt. I say go for it.
