What about a W before you've gotten in?QUOTE]
I repeat my advice from above. One W will not kill your chances so long as you have good reasons. 15 years ago I withdrew from an entire quarter. There was some personal stuff going on but it's there. Another W I registered for the class and then discovered (ah yes, sometimes we have to love the college administration) that I had a class that would transfer for it. So I couldn't see continuing on with that. And last this past summer I withdrew from a class. And exactly as I said above I was going to be going fulltime over the summer working my ass off and it occurred to me that this could possibly be my last chance to "play" summer and recharge my battery a bit, so that's exactly what I did. Not sure about your school, but we have one week from the start of classes to decide to drop without record - yeah one week. So sometimes you just can't make a decison within that first week. And without compelling reasons you can not drop a class towards the end of the quarter (failing a class isn't compelling 😀 ) As long as this is not a pattern that repeats i.e. every other quarter you drop a class, or you drop the same class mutliple times, or your only dropping prequisites - I would not be overly concerned.
