hi,..i want to discuss a case, if it is possible..i have a 29 year old female came to my office with a history of hyperthyroidism and enlargement of the thyroid..(not sure what is the cause since i just met her this once)..she showed me that she used to have high total T4, Normal total T3 , and low TSH before the medication...but after 1 year she took the PTU, she had her thyroid test frequently checked every 3 months and she had almost always normal total T4 and T3 total, but low TSH..now, she came to me because she feel that she now has her thyroid enlarged after a stable size for 2 years..
i don't really understand about this..but what do you think? i just thought that the PTU is the cause, but i am not sure..have anyone of you had the same experience before?
