So I submitted my Duke application really late and I was just informed that while I have been invited to interview, there are no interview slots left at the school. However, the invited me to schedule a regional interview, with an alumnus. Has anybody has any experience with these interviews? Any words of advice?

IMHO it will be better because at the school they give you two 30 min interviews and it goes by so quickly and totally sucks.....from what I have heard from people, they get a better interaction with the alumnus....but that doesn't necessarily translates into better or worse chance for acceptance..

Good Luck

I hope you're right. Thanks for the response!

I think I read on Duke's website (or possibly somewhere else) that statistically, regional interviews have a slightly higher acceptance rate.
