Before everyone starts freaking out...BREATHE. Relax. If you get in, awesome. If you don't get in, it's okay! It is NOT the end of the world, nor the end of your happiness or future as a physician. It might suck at first, but everything happens for a reason and I promise, you will make the best of whatever situation you're put into next year. Duke is great, but in the end it's just a school. Just wanted to say that to make sure that if any of you freaks if you get waitlisted or rejected, you will be OKAY.

Writing that actually helped my neurotic ass while I'm sitting here studying for a test I'm not ready for 🙂. Good luck everyone!

Damn the USPS for not delivering on sundays! jk...congrats!!! so I guess the march 7th date is a received date rather than a send out date...anyone else in the north carolina area receive their letter today? any current duke undergrads? i guess not or we would have heard about it...antsy-ness just jumped up a level..congrats again! and awesome that it is the first!

Also, just so people don't get too excited or anxious if they don't get mail, I think I remember hearing at our interview that a group of letters would be mailed on the second and then on the fifth, so it is possible that there are multiple batches going out ... maybe some of the later interviewees getting accepted in later batches. :luck:

Haha, OMG, I can't believed this. A similar thing happened to me. I open the mailbox and I see a big huge packet from Duke .... Law School! It was one of those info packs you can request. I almost had a heart attack :laugh:

So since the duke med website says targeted "decision" letter date, I would assume rejections, waitlists, acceptances are all coming out at the same time.. I wish we could hear from at least one more acceptance out there so that we could start to make crazy conspiracy theories about how/when/what order the letters are being mailed out in... :idea:

May I suggest my strategy: Being incredibly hung over, I will probably spend most of the day napping, watching tv, and eating cinnamon toast crunch (despite the "work" I am supposed to "do") and it will be tomorrow before I know it! 👍
