Anyone accepted without having sent a letter of interest/intent?
I left work today to rush home and check the mail. I didn't even get any junk mail. Hopefully, the just forgot to deliver my mail altogether!!!![]()
I live in Chapel Hill... So, I am starting to worry, especially since folks in Boston and Wisconsin have already gotten a letter.
Maybe tomorrow.
Did anyone figure out if they sent the letters in alphabetical order?

First word was *gasp*, then woohoo!, then a few tears. And I hate to be the first, but I'm in Boston.
AAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!
So I had thought the decision was going to go to my school address, which was listed on my AMCAS as my "preferred address", so I was bummed that I couldn't find out until Wednesday at the earliest. However, someone mentioned that Duke had sent it to their permanent address, so I just checked on my PAS about fifteen minutes ago. Turns out I had this address listed as my contact address... so I ran out the door and checked the mail...
AND I'M IN!!!
🙂 Moral of the story: make sure you have the right address. It may save you much needless anxiety.
Here's hoping we see more good news over the next couple days. I've been compulsively checking this thread for the past two weeks, at least. Really, you guys are awesome.
congrats, guys!! what was the postmark date for you all?
Haha, you said you all. That's silly![]()
On another note, I bet money this thread is gonna blow up tomorrow. I'll try to do my best to keep track of all the mail coming in. HOLLA!
So, before I got my letter, I was finding it a little frustrating that the posts here did not indicate clearly what kind of postage it was. Now that I have one, I understand why. This is like no postage I've seen. There is a meter sticker and a stamp worth 87 cents. There is no cancellation stamp and no other indication of the type of postage. Sorry all. I would guess standard first class, but it might be some kind of institutional rate on priority. I don't know.

Maybe there is a Duke acceptance Santa Clause. Duke tries to make there letters seem official by putting those crazy stamps on there, but in reality, Richard Wallace takes a magical sled around to everyone's house and drops off the mail in increments starting with NC, then the NE, midwest, south, and cali.![]()

So when's santa clause gonna stop by TX? Tomorrow? I promise I won't be naughty next year![]()

Congrats to everyone accepted!!! And good luck to everyone for tomorrow! This is such an awesome time of year!
😱

Hi everyone,
I have been obsessing behind the scenes like all of you, anxiously awaiting any news from Duke.
I read on my PAS application that ONLY acceptance/waitlist offers will be sent through the mail and that rejections will be sent through emails. I tried to copy and past this into my message but since the file is Adobe, I could not. But everyone should also be able to access this information. If you go to your PAS application and scroll ALL the way down past all of your essays, this info is under the "application agreement".
good luck everyone!!![]()

So if you decide down the line that medicine is not for you, you should look into becoming a detective! awesome catch! here is the statement copy and pasted from the duke PAS website:
"If you are extended an interview at Duke and you are NOT accepted to Duke AFTER you have interviewed, you will be contacted by email via the email address housed in your DukeMed Personal Account(PAS)."
so email = kiss of death........I think this is the first time I am hoping and praying that I do not receive an email from an ADCOM
