Not that this is rocket science, but interesting that there is an established phenomenon wherein those who are “incompetent” cannot possibly assess their own incompetence without the knowledgebase that competent people have and therefore tend to overestimate their own competency.
We see this in the arrogant NPs, first year med students, etc

One of the reasons I'm not totally against medical trainees getting an ass whooping once in a while from a senior if a severe lapse happens. Duning-Krugger PPx, you might say.

Never seen it from med students. First years constantly say they don't know anything. Quite similar pattern, even until PGY2. It's literally everyone BUT those in medicine who think they know medicine well.
